RTC REFLASH PROGRAM
In order to take full advantage of the RC210 Firmware 7.60 Upgrade and if you took delivery of your existing Real Time Clock (RTC) module BEFORE April 1st, 2018, your RTC will require reprogramming.
If you took delivery April 1st or later or have returned your RTC to us to since then, your RTC already has the latest firmware programmed and does NOT need to be returned nor reprogrammed.
As part of the RTC and firmware improvements, the downloads & uploads from the RC210 are fast and reliable. Please note that if you don't use any of the RTC Memories, don't plan to upgrade to FW 7.60 or only use the Clock/Calendar features, you do not need to reprogram your RTC either
Reprogramming may be accomplished one of two ways:
Method #1: If you have the capability to program an Atmel processor using an Atmel ISP Programmer:
- If your RTC's processor is marked "MEGA328" , download the "non-P" binary file here.
- If your RTC's processor is marked "MEGA328P" (has a "P" at the end), download the "P" binary file here.
Simply reflash the RTC and you're done.
Method #2: If you don't have the capability to program yourself, you may send us your RTC(s) and we will reprogram them for you at no charge (this includes return shipping)
